When you say that the birth and marriage of your father are registered, do you mean in Portugal? Did your father obtain Portuguese nationality? If so, his process would be that of a child, not a grandchild.
Grandchild processes have other requirements, including knowledge of the Portuguese language.

If it’s in Oporto, there’s a three-year backlog of applications. If it’s in Lisbon, that’s four years.
