Decission stage?

My application 24 year marriage was subitted and entered 11/9/2021 and currently reads Decission: 9/28/2021 with no updates since and no request. The consolate confirmed it is in queue, but I notice someone here stated the 9/29/2024 date for decisdion was a general data dump date into the new system. Does this mean it could still be years until decission? How do I get an honest acurate date of process ststis?

Yes, it has already been established by a lot of examples in this forum that Sept 28-29, 2024 "decision dates" were dummy dates inserted when a new system went online.

Assuming you are using the USA date system, you submitted your application in Nov 2021.

Lisbon is currently deciding about citizenship by marriage (Art 3.1) requests submitted in the first half of Oct 2021; see table below:

Your applictaion should be decided in coming months. As it is getting close, I would start checking status online more often to see if there will be some "exigência" (request for additional info).

However... table above does not mean that every single application submitted at that time is in that same stage... different applications are examined by diff officers and "conservadores", each with their own time... do not freak out if yours depart a bit from info therein.

This is the specific forum thread where people post such tables - released by the Conservatória dos Registros Centrais in Lisbon itself... they release it monthly. Latest (link above) was released with status as of end of March 2026... it should be a couple of weeks before an update with April 2026 status is released (disregard random chatter in topic; just scroll up till you find such tables)

Do not get distracted by tables issued by ACP (Porto) also posted in thread above; they are much shorter tables and do not include Art 3.1 as ACP does not handle such applications.
