Hi, I've applied to the portuguess nationality through marriage since 26-05-2021 and the application is not moving since 28-09-2024, currently the application is at the third step "Para decisão".

It has been more than 4 years, what it the timeline to complete the process and is there a way to speed it up?

When I applied to the application me and my wife we had only one son, and now we have three.

The date 28/09/2024 was set by the IRN during the transition to their new application management system. It does not actually mean that your application is sitting there waiting for a decision since last september.

Marriage applications typically take 4 to 5 years. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but wait.

Assuming you are a man and your wife is already a portuguese citizen, the children can already apply, regardless of your application's status.
