Police document expiry
I wanted to inquire regarding police documents if anyone has has any previous experience.
My father is a portuguese citizen by birth (born in a former colony) and has a passport and everything.
My mother has applied using 3.1 around January time 2025 and the police documents were valid at the point of delivery to Lisboa registos centrais.
Now she has not received a code to monitor her application online yet, from what other people have posted, it seems when you do get the code, you are considered "submitted" as of the date you get the code, NOT when it was delivered.
Does this mean that her police documents will still be valid at the point of analysis ? as police documents need to be within 6 months of issuance.
I have evidence of delivery but i am wondering if that is sufficient.

Nah, you application is considered submitted the day IRn received your documents. The code is just something you use to keep track of your application. If the documents were received while within the expiration date, you are safe, don't worry about it.
Obrigado
We have received the code today to access along a pdf stating it was submitted in January along with which documents were submitted. The "submitted" section does show today's date but im hoping thats just a system thing. the pdf document gives me some reassurance
One other thing to note the format of process number has changed weirdly it's no longer XXXXX/XX its now NXXXXX_XXXX
